Citytrip to Paris

France Paris 1.1

Paris! It feels like home-coming! But now we are more passionate to talk about it  since we went there for the fourth time. The only difference this time was, it was a family trip for just one day cause normally we go for several days. We tried all seasons except for summer, so we did that a couple weeks ago. We must say every season has its beauty.

These are definitely our must-see attractions whenever you go to Paris.

* Eiffel Tower with the beautiful park Champ de Mars
You couldn’t possibly visit Paris without seeing the Eiffel Tower. The engineer Gustave Eiffel constructed this gracefull tower of 324 m. The view at the top of the tower is A-mazing!
Champ de Mars is a park near the Eiffel tower with a long stretch of grass bordered by laid-out gardens. Good place to picnic and enjoy the magnificent, uninterrupted view of the Eiffel Tower. Or you can even sit, relax, grab a snack and watch the world go by.

* Jardin des Tuileries
This park is definitely worth visiting. This French formal gardens, which separate the Louvre from the Place de la Concorde is a perfect place for relaxation and lovely to walk through.
The park has several fountains, ponds, shady spots and with many chairs to lounge in. However…the park is very sandy so you have to watch out when its windy. At the end of our stroll through the park our shoes were all covered with white dust. So you might bring some wet wipes with you haha.

* The Avenue des Champs-Élysées
A beautiful/elegant avenue with lots of restaurant, stores and gardens. From here you can see and walk to the famous Arc de Triomphe.
We have to say everything is very expensive here, but you don’t have to buy anything if you want. Just go strolling there and enjoy the atmosphere.

* Disney Land

* Les Galeries Lafayette
The architecture of the main building is simply stunning. Are you going in the month December/Januari? Make sure you pay a visit to Lafayette so you can see the big christmas tree! The street where the store is located is always beautifully decorated with many lights!

*Place de la Concorde

* Sacre Coeur

* Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris

  1. hi! thanks for following my site! i love this post! it’s such a fun photography set! on another note, your food posts are making me hungry! looking forward to reading more of your stuff! cheers! =)

    • Thank you, it was fun making that pic haha! No, our list of must-see attractions is just a summary of our visits to Paris last couple of years 🙂

  2. Isn’t it difficult to choose the best places to see in Paris? I lived there for a few years and visit as often as I can. My favourite places include Montmartre, particularly the little streets beyond the main square, Saint Chapelle – possibly the most beautiful chapel in the world – and some of the wonderful museums…the Rodin and Picasso museums are wonderful.

    • Hi Mary! Yes it is difficult to choose. We’ve been there 4 times and still we don’t know, cause almost everything in Paris seems so beautiful. Montmartre is one of our favorite too with the little streets with lots of souvenirs shops and restaurants. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

    • I agree. I actually preferred Sainte-Chappelle to NotreDame on the inside. The stained glass comic-strip bible stories are just fantastic. ON the other hand the architectural and engineering skills in Notre Dame are remarkable.

      I’m just starting out to write a series of posts about my 2 weeks in France and Paris. I’d definitely go back because there’s so much we could not cover.

    • Thanks for sharing! After reading your post.. NOW we will definitely go for a 5th time hihi. This Masquerade ball at Versailles looks GREAT! Let’s do this! 😀

  5. I have been to Paris too and it is very beautiful. On the other hand, I would recommend visiting Bordeaux and the small villages surrounding it for even more amazing scenery!

    • Hi Abundantlyannie! Yes we are thinking to visit the small villages as well. There you can see more the traditional french culture and meet the local people, that’s what we like. Thank you for the advice, Bordeaux and the small villages around Paris is now on our go – visit list! We can’t wait to see the beautiful scenery 😀
