North Italia!

Venice Italia un paese bellissimo! Couple years ago we went to north Italia with our friends. It was such a great experience. We went in spring time en visited different cities.

It was pretty warm and the atmosphere was like we were in indonesia, so weird! There were even little lizards which we only saw in Indonesia. Our hotel was located on top of a hill so you got this beautiful view.  In the evenings we always walked down to the village to explore and meet some local people. And the best thing about traveling is trying out FOOD!  Spaghetti, pasta, delicious Italian ice creams, mozzarella cheese (almost in every dish), fish dishes and of course Pizza’s!!

*Venice

Venice is a city in northeastern Italie. Famous about the canals.  We went on a vaporetto (a rounded 230-passenger boat) and made a tour on the grand canal. Walking at the magnificent piazza San Marco, where you can see beautiful architecture and art  (St Mark’s Campanile and Basilica). Near the square there’s a lot of alleys where you can find souvenirs stores and restaurants. Everywhere you go you see street artist wearing this beautiful costume and traditional mask. Unfortunately we didn’t go on a gondola (because you know at that time as students it was a little to pricey for us haha). 80 euros for 40 min. But now we think SHOOT we should have done that arggg! No trip to venice would be complete without a gondola tour. So do it if you ever get the chance! We also saw the famous architectural icon of Venice: Rialto Bridge. We only did a city tour for one day, wishing we could stay a few days longer!

*Verona

There are many interesting sightseeing to do in Verona. The beautiful Piazza delle Erbe ( an area in the city of Verona)  where you can see nice architecture and urban design of Rome. There was also a local market where we bought some cute souvenirs. We did a tour in The Arena, a huge amphitheater which was built in the 1st century BC. Very informative and impressive. The famous Romeo and Juliette love story of shakespeare happened in Verona. Which make Verona one of the very popular city in the world today. You can visit the  Juliet’s House (Casa di Giulietta) and see the balcony.

*Padua

The town centre is a beautiful place to explore, with many historic streets to wander. We went to Palazzo della Ragione and made a tour in the amazing Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua.

*Garda lake

A swimming paradise!
