Strawberry star cookies

Strawberry star cookies

Any strawberry fan here? We love making this cause  we think they are so cute and it tastes delicious. You can make this for any occasions, birthday partys, holidays, or just whenever friends or family comes over. You can also put these yummie cookies in a cute cookie jar, this makes a nice birthday gift and you can say you made it all by yourself!

Ingredients:

160 gram flour
120 gram butter
80 gram sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
Pinch of salt
Strawberry jam
powdered sugar

Directions :

–          Preheat the oven to 170 degrees
–          mix the butter, flour, sugar and salt  and knead it with the hand
If it still feels a bit sticky put more flour into it
–          Dust the work top with some flour and also on the rolling pin
Roll out the dough  and cut stars with a star cutter.
Make sure you have 2 shapes of star cutters 1 small size and one big
So you get 1 big star and 1 big but within you need to cut with a smaller size
–          Lift the cookies onto the non stick baking paper using a palette knife. (or just with the hand)
Bake until it gets this golden color
Cool on a baking rack

Put some strawberry jam in a pan and cook it just for about 2 min and the let it cool of.
Put some jam between the 2  cookies (1 big and 1 with the same size within the small star)
Make sure you put enough jam so the cookies stick together.
Sprinkle the outside edges with some powdered sugar
